I have been working towards putting together a better blog. Here are a few of the things that I have discovered about blogging and how to build a better blog.
Be short and to the point. Most page views are not very long, as well, search results need to communicate quickly your content.
Use pictures or some other media in every post. A picture is still worth one thousand words and a short video even more.
Interact with the audience. Be sure to comment with the viewers. If you are following sites in the hopes that someone will follow you in return you must also interact with them. Additionally make sure that word verification is turned off.
Identify who you are, what you do and be consistent. Viewers will return if you are covering a topic they enjoy.
With that being said I know that there are still areas that I need to improve. I have been working on my brand and being consistent in my posting. Below are some of the stats that I have for my blog. You can see that making sure that some words do not show up in my search results is as important as having the right words.
